microsoft and yahoo united
Now onwards,Yahoo and Microsoft will jointly sing “Binghoo or MicroHoo”.

Today Microsoft Corp and Yahoo Officially announced the agreement of 10 year partnership to collaborate on search technology as well as search advertising.

Under this deal, Microsoft’s new Bing search engine will power Yahoo’s searches, according to Advertising Age, while Yahoo will handle the advertising sales, using Microsoft(Adcenter) technology.

“Microsoft and Yahoo know there’s so much more that search could be,” said Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer. “This agreement gives us the scale and resources to create the future of search.”

In short this deal combines power of the second and third-ranked search engines with an aim of ousting the Big “G” from top Place.

According to me,I think this deal is good for blog authors or content generators. Google had a sort of monopoly , causing a kind of dependency (since 80% will be from Google) and this Will be new source for both visitors(readers) and blog authors.oh! i don’t have Business knowledge, over to Reuters
